It was a long night of tossing and turning in the stone hard bed. All of my extremities were falling asleep which woke me up frequently throughout the night. We woke up about a half hour late (6:30AM) only to find the water was not working. So, no shower, but just a quick brush of [...]

Let’s rewind this day in reverse. This has probably been one of the most challenging days so far on both trips to Chiapas. We are in a hotel called “Hotel Ocosingo” which for $16 USD per night is probably one of the best mid-range hotels here. It is supposed to be $25 USD, but Linda [...]

About Me

JenneilI am a public servant by day and a travel-junkie by night... Deciding that domestic travel was not enough for me, I spent a month in Chiapas, Mexico learning about their culture and people. After our first visit to Chiapas, I knew my entire world had changed. I no longer cared about achieving the "American Dream" I had sought for nearly 30 years. Knowing I had found my true passion in life, I began focusing on becoming location independent. Read More Below

About Jenneil

I am a public servant by day and a travel-junkie by night.

I was born and raised in a small farming town in Michigan, but have been anchored in California for the past 8 years. I have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. visiting over half of the States, but I am still a travel rookie.

Here, at "Hello, Meet World," you can read about my Mexican adventures and follow along on my upcoming trip around the World. Over at Nomad Courier, I have launched a unique team micro-photo-blog to motivate you to pursue your own travel dreams through our inspirational postcards.
